Halito Sisters & Brothers,

We have a response to the Anthony Dillard Vote essay and while it is not from either Anthony or Mrs. Dillard I wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to read it.  Apologies for the format as it was copied and pasted directly from the blog “dashboard”.   Here is the response and my reply:

ndn3feathers,

I am pleased that you wrote because most accounts vary by perception.  As I have said before Janie Dillard is one of the most visionary leaders the CNO has ever had and Anthony Dillard is well thought of in the community.  Having said that you may not have had the same supervisor or director as our source.  The possibilities are just too varied to say that it happen or did not happen across the casinos.  I, personally, hope it was an isolated incident in one department and the Dillards were not aware of it. Anthony Dillard seems like one of the good ones and believe me we need more good guys.  Ndn3feathers, keep reading and keep giving your perspective that makes for a better more well-rounded view.

I have been a proud member my entire life and have worked for the Choctaw Nation for most of my adult life. I was raised in a big choctaw family. I have my own children, whom my husband and I have raised to hold family dear as most choctaws do. I have had the privilege of working for Mrs. Sue Folsom and Mrs Janie Dillard. Both ladies are true leaders and stand up for what’s right for all Choctaws regardless of who you are or where you come from, they have the upmost integrity in all areas of life. They are the epitome of what I strive to be in the business world and as a Choctaw woman.

I was bothered by these voting allegation and the implications that Janie was involved, b/c as previously stated she does handle the issue when brought to her attention.  Why wasn’t this brought to her for her to handle and get to the bottom or the root of the matter.  As with most allegations there is always some deep rooted issue at the heart of the matter.  I can honestly and truly say i have NEVER been ask or told I had better vote a certain way by anyone from the Choctaw Nation or Choctaw Casinos. I have seen desks set up to get more Choctaws registered to vote and to make a difference in their local elections and issues.  As with anything you have to be involved to make a difference.
